An initiative by Durham County Council to get young people involved in positive activities in the Durham area, “Get Out There” is a directory site that provides young people with information about what there is to do on their doorstep.
It also goes one step further than that and runs a credit scheme for under privileged kids, funding them to go on the activities they are interested in.
That meant a comprehensive booking and administrative system had to be planned and implemented to ensure the smooth running of the site which, at the end of the day, had to be appealing enough and easy for kids to want to use.
